The former Hong Kong International Youth and Children's Choir Festival, now renamed as the 5th World Youth and Children's Choir Festival is making a come back in 2015 due to its great popularity! In collaboration with the World Youth and Children Choral Artists' Association, a newly established non-profit organization, we are going to bring everybody a perfect Festival.Three Resident Festival Choirs, including Cantemus Pro Musica Girls' Choir, S:t Jacobs Youth Choir, Sydney Children's Choir and one Guest Performer, The Oxford Gargoyles are invited to share their music talents in a series of fascinating concerts.

There are ten competition categories, and the adjudicating panel is made up of internationally-renowned choral experts. Competitions and concerts will be held in the landmark of Hong Kong's culture – the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and other important venues. Furthermore, a series of master classes and workshops are organized to provide an eye-opening experience for our young and prospering musicians from around the world.

Directors of ten leading world choral festivals are invited to the 2015 Festival to help discover the great potentials of outstanding local and Chinese choirs. We aim to bring in more interactions between directors and choir conductors and teachers, thus providing more opportunities for participating choirs to attend international festivals. Undoubtedly, choral singers and students could benefit from participating in these international choral festivals and meeting choirs of the highest caliber.

In 2015 Festival, we are honored to receive the generous support from Jebsen & Co. Ltd. to grant the "World Youth and Children's Choir Festival – Jebsen & Co. Choral Arts Youth Scholarship". It aims to encourage and support young choral artists in Hong Kong to go aboard to learn from international choral experts in order to advance the standard of local choral music. Conductors or choirs awardees will be invited to perform in the Festival Opening Concert with the resident festival choirs and guest performer. Composer awardees will be invited to compose a choral piece which will be presented in the Festival Opening Concert.

In addition, prizes offered by Jebsen & Co.
